Shoshana Quint is a chef, teacher, and mother of four living on New York City’s Upper West Side. She graduated from the Peter Kump’s New York Cooking School, the precursor to the Institute of Culinary Education, and trained and worked closely under the mentorship of celebrity-chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Shoshana worked as a line cook for three years, first at Jean-Georges’s JoJo Restaurant, and then at his Mercer Kitchen in Soho. Shoshana later served as his chef de cuisine at his lunch restaurant, Lipstick Café.
In 1998, Shoshana joined a Dutch friend Sonia Philipse in her effort to build a catering company and cooking school in the heart of Amsterdam. Shoshana designed menus and supervised the cooking and catering staff at the school, Food Fantasies, and worked as co-chef at the local favorite, Charlotte Bentinckl Cookhuis.
After two years in the Netherlands, Shoshana moved back to her native Montreal to establish her own catering business out of which she also taught cooking classes. In 2003, Shoshana moved with her husband to New York City. She has catered small dinner parties and now conducts cooking classes in her home since 2010.
